By far, one of the biggest new release of the\u00a0Geneva Motor Show 2014\u00a0is the Koenigsegg One:1<\/strong>.\u00a0Koenigsegg<\/strong> is creating six uniquely developed and designed production cars \u2013 the One:1<\/strong> program,\u00a0one of the most exclusive production car program ever envisaged. Marking 20 years since the formation of Koenigsegg<\/strong>\u00a0in Sweden, the One:1<\/strong> is very much a Koenigsegg<\/strong> product.<\/p>\n

A dream equation<\/h2>\n

Koenigsegg<\/strong> released its outstanding\u00a0One:1<\/strong> : a\u00a0\u201cdream\u201d equation previously thought impossible.\u00a0The car gets its name from the fact that it produces one horsepower for every kilogram of weight.<\/p>\n

Koenigsegg<\/strong> calls it the world\u2019s first production \u2018Megawatt\u2019 car, because of its 1,000-kilowatt power rating.\u00a0The hp to kg curb weight ratio is an astonishing 1:1. On top of this, the One:1<\/strong> is the first homologated production car in the world with one Megawatt of power, thereby making it the world\u00b4s first series produced Megacar.<\/p>\n

The power figures are truly incredible. Indeed,\u00a0Koenigsegg<\/strong> quotes 1 Megawatt of power (1,341 hp) and an 8,250 rpm rev limit.\u00a0Torque is rated at 1371 Nm from 6000 rpm. Total weight is just 1,360 kg which is based on the complete car ready to drive with 50% fuel, 100% fluids and without the driver taken into account. This is a total weight saving of just over 70 kg on the Agera R.<\/p>\n

As a result, the Koenigsegg One:1<\/strong> is said to achieve a perfect 1 horsepower to 1 kilogram power to weight ratio.<\/p>\n

Koenigseeg One:1 raises the bar of performance<\/h2>\n

The One:1<\/strong> features new and unique solutions to enhance track perfomance without compromising top speed or everyday usability, with a stunning visual appearance to go with it.\u00a0Examples of features are: unique track optimized aero winglets, extended venturi tunnels and side splitters, Le-Mans inspired active wing configuration and optimized active undertrim air management, large air vents for improved cooling, roof air scoop to support the 1 Megawatt of power, 8250 RPM rev limit, complimented with Custom made Michelin Cup Tires, upgrade rear triplex suspension with carbon bevel springs and active shockabsorbers and ride hight, combined with upgraded revolutionary Koenigsegg<\/strong> Aircore carbon fiber wheels.<\/p>\n

The engine fitted to the One:1<\/strong> is Koenigsegg<\/strong>\u2019s own twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V-8 design.\u00a0It all helps to produce a total downforce at 260 km\/h equal to 610 kg whilst at 440km\/h, the One:1<\/strong> develops 830 kg of pressure.<\/p>\n

Moreover,\u00a0Koenigsegg<\/strong> is confident the car will set new acceleration records for 0-200 km\/h (0-124 mph), 0-300 km\/h (0-186 mph) and even 0-400 km\/h (0-248 mph) sprints. The latter could be as quick as 20 seconds.<\/p>\n

In order to give the One:1<\/strong> maximum flexibility when it comes to power delivery, Koenigsegg<\/strong> has implemented its patented variable turbo geometry technology in the One:1<\/strong> Program. This technology gives improved response and more low end torque than otherwise possible. As an example the One:1<\/strong> engine has over 1000 Nm of torque between 3000 to 7500 rpm, which is truly unheard of.<\/p>\n

Last but not least, Koenigsegg<\/strong>\u00a0was the first extreme car manufacturer to take steps toward green technology with the release of the biofuel CCXR in 2007. The One:1,<\/strong> a sibling of the highly competitive Agera R, follows in the footsteps of the CCXR as it also runs on E85 biofuel, Racefuel or normal Petrol.<\/p>\n
