For the first time, the Porsche Boxster<\/strong> and Porsche Cayman<\/strong> will be offered as\u00a0GTS models.\u00a0The new Boxster GTS<\/strong> and Cayman\u00a0GTS<\/strong> models are visually defined by more than just a badge: they offer more powerful engines and additional standard performance equipment.<\/p>\n

Built for performance<\/h2>\n

The Boxter GTS<\/strong> and Cayman GTS<\/strong> models feature a\u00a03.4-liter 6-cylinder boxer engine which\u00a0delivers an additional 15 hp compared to their \u201cS\u201d model counterparts. This means that\u00a0the Boxster GTS<\/strong> has 330 hp and the Cayman GTS<\/strong> has 340 hp.<\/p>\n

Torque has been\u00a0increased by 7 lb.-ft. in each model: 273 lb.-ft. in the Boxster GTS<\/strong> and 280 lb.-ft. in the\u00a0Cayman GTS. The Sport Chrono package is now a standard feature with either the 6-\u00a0speed manual or the optional 7-speed Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) transmission.<\/p>\n

This means with the optional PDK transmission and Sport Plus button activated, the\u00a0Boxster GTS<\/strong> reaches 60 mph from a standstill in 4.4 seconds and 4.3 seconds in the\u00a0Cayman GTS<\/strong>. Top track speed for the Boxster GTS<\/strong> is 174 mph with a manual\u00a0transmission and 177 mph for a Cayman GTS<\/strong> equipped with a manual transmission.<\/p>\n

Built for maximum driving pleasure<\/h2>\n

The Boxster GTS<\/strong> and Cayman GTS<\/strong> feature Porsche<\/strong> Active Suspension Management\u00a0(PASM) as standard, which offers the choice of sportier or more comfortable ride\u00a0settings at the press of a button. The 235\/35 front and 265\/35 rear tires on 20-inch\u00a0Carrera S wheels provide the perfect setup for a balanced driving experience.<\/p>\n

Like other\u00a0Porsche GTS models<\/strong>, the interior of the Boxster GTS<\/strong> and Cayman GTS<\/strong> feature an\u00a0Alcantara\u00ae wrapped steering wheel, headliner, center console, and inserts on the\u00a0standard Sport Seats Plus. Additional visual elements include GTS<\/strong> nomenclature\u00a0embroidered into the headrests and printed on the tachometer face.<\/p>\n

A specific standard of performance and uniqueness is required to wear the GTS<\/strong> badge.\u00a0For example, the legendary 1963 Porsche<\/strong> 904 Carrera GTS<\/strong> was dominant on the\u00a0racetrack and a spectacle on the street. The 1980s and 1990s saw the 924 GTS<\/strong> and\u00a0928 GTS<\/strong> refine this characteristic. In 2007 the GTS<\/strong> emblem was reintroduced on the\u00a0Cayenne GTS<\/strong> and later implemented in the 911 and Panamera model lines.<\/p>\n

The Boxster GTS<\/strong> is priced from $73,500 and the Cayman GTS<\/strong> is priced from $75,200,\u00a0excluding destination charges of $995. Both models will be available for delivery this\u00a0summer.<\/p>\n
