Limited to only 250 worldwide, it\u2019s the next benchmark in complete performance.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"a-new-standard-in-bicycle-development\">A new standard in bicycle development<\/h2>\n<p>Starting with the <strong>S-Works McLaren Venge<\/strong> followed by the <strong>S-Works McLaren TT helmet<\/strong>, <strong>Specialized<\/strong> and <strong>McLaren<\/strong> have worked closely over the years to push the possibilities of <strong>cycling<\/strong> into new and exciting directions.\u00a0On the heels of the launch of the all new <strong>S-Works Tarmac<\/strong> featuring Rider-First Engineered technology, the <strong>S-Works McLaren Tarmac<\/strong> takes the technical and performance standards to the next level.<\/p>\n<p>Utilizing <strong>McLaren<\/strong>\u2019s vast carbon fiber expertise, the <strong>S-Works McLaren Tarmac<\/strong> frame and fork feature a unique carbon layup schedule that has resulted in a 10% weight savings over the standard <strong>S-Works Tarmac<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Like the frame, the crankset, custom AeroFly handlebars, and CLX40 carbon tubular wheelset all benefit from a new carbon layup that ensure both complete performance and maximum weight savings. Rounding out the package is a custom colorway, co-developed with <strong>McLaren<\/strong> and painted in their exclusive <strong>McLaren<\/strong> Special Operations Center in Woking, Surrey UK \u2013 the same location where the $1.2 million <strong>McLaren<\/strong> P1 supercar is painted.<\/p>\n<p>More than just strictly a frame and fork, the <strong>S-Works McLaren Tarmac<\/strong> is a complete collection of cohesive parts and equipment that add up to one incredibly unique, and exclusive performance package.\u00a0Exclusive to the <strong>S-Works McLaren Tarmac<\/strong> is a custom sized pair of <strong>S-Works<\/strong> Road Shoes as well as a <strong>S-Works<\/strong> Prevail helmet, both color matched to the <strong>bike<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, every <strong>S-Works McLaren Tarmac<\/strong> will be built to the individual specifications of the rider based upon the included Body Geometry Fit consultation for a truly personalized experience.<\/p>\n<p>Only 250 <strong>S-Works McLaren Tarmacs<\/strong> are slated for production worldwide and <span style=\"color: #444444;\">will be priced around \u20ac20,000 ($27,227).<\/span>\u00a0Starting\u00a0July 2<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>2014, customers will be able to sign up for their very own, personalized <strong>S-Works McLaren Tarmac<\/strong> with the reservation process closing\u00a0July 31<span style=\"font-size: 11px;\">\u00a0<\/span>2014 or while availability lasts.<\/p>\n<p>From the ground up, the S-Works McLaren Tarmac is the\u00a0perfect marriage between the technical acumen of <strong>McLaren<\/strong> and the engineering prowess of <strong>Specialized<\/strong>.
