The meeting between Parmigiani Fleurier<\/strong> and Bugatti<\/strong> took place in 2001. At this time, the prestigious Molsheim-based firm was seeking to build a strong association with a watchmaker<\/strong>\u00a0with a propensity for\u00a0\u00a0technical excellence, but also artistic flair, a heightened awareness of design and the elegance of forms.<\/p>\n

The partnership between Bugatti<\/strong> and Parmigiani Fleurier<\/strong> was formalised in 2004. Since then, the Fleurier<\/strong>-based manufacture has striven to create timepieces<\/strong> for the Bugatti<\/strong> collection which are far more than a watch stamped with a car marque logo; they are cars reborn in watch<\/strong> form.<\/p>\n

The Bugatti Anniversary<\/h2>\n

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the partnership, in 2014, Parmigiani Fleurier<\/strong> is unveiling three limited editions of the Bugatti timepiece<\/strong>. The brand has decided to take the iconic Bugatti 370<\/strong> model, and its transverse tubular movement, as its basis, as it marked the creation of the partnership in 2004.<\/p>\n

The Bugatti Mythe<\/strong>, the Bugatti Victoire<\/strong> and the Bugatti R\u00e9v\u00e9lation<\/strong> are the new versions of this Anniversary Limited Edition. These three pieces moved away from the hi-tech, futuristic spirit of some of the Bugatti<\/strong> creations and\u00a0\u00a0gave advantage to artisan\u2019s traditional techniques.<\/p>\n

The return to classic \u201cHaute Horlogerie\u201d<\/strong> techniques here marks a desire to recognise Parmigiani Fleurier\u2019<\/strong>s history, and the essence of the brand.<\/p>\n

The partnership between Parmigiani Fleurier<\/strong> and Bugatti<\/strong> is celebrating its 10th anniversary and, as these prestigious new timepieces<\/strong>\u00a0testify, going from strength to strength.<\/p>\n

The Bugatti Mythe<\/h2>\n

The first of the Anniversary Edition timepieces, the aesthetic of the Bugatti Mythe<\/strong> is based on an emblematic Bugatti\u00a0component: the legendary Type 57 grille.<\/p>\n

This grille, which graced the very first Bugatti<\/strong> cars, has a striking structure, formed of lines rather than mesh. These lines are echoed in the watch dial and they extend downward beyond its perimeter, affirming the Art Deco style which made the historic grille such a success.<\/p>\n

In addition to this homage to Bugatti\u2019<\/strong>s history, the Bugatti Mythe timepiece<\/strong> also pays tribute to the ongoing collaboration between industrial and artisan traditions in both the automotive and watchmakin<\/strong>g worlds. Inextricably linked at Bugatti<\/strong>, industry and craftsmanship see their potential combined in every creation, and this is what the brand\u2019s reputation is based on.<\/p>\n

The Bugatti Mythe<\/strong> evokes this marriage through the dual-colour effect of the surfaces of its case middle. A mottled anthracite grey surface, which reinforces its \u201cindustrial\u201d appearance, represents this side of the spectrum; the burnished, gold surfaces reflect the refined, artisan side.<\/p>\n

The watch is powered by caliber PF370, which features manual winding using a dynamometric starter. The cylindrical shaped 18K rose-gold case measures 32.40 by 52.50 by 18.6 mm, and features\u00a0a satin and polished hammered finish. The movement beats at 3Hz, has 314 total components, 37 of which are jewels, and a 10-day power reserve, thanks to 2 series-coupled barrels.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bugatti Mythe<\/strong> is presented on a black Hermes calf skin strap with rose gold folding buckle.<\/span><\/p>\n
