In July, Aston Martin<\/strong> confirmed\u00a0a bespoke product programme for a new super saloon<\/strong> that will see the revival of the historic Lagonda<\/strong> nameplate in a strictly limited series and in August, Aston Martin<\/strong> released the first pictures of the new Lagonda Sedan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Designed exclusively for the Middle East, the new Lagonda Sedan<\/strong> is a\u00a0stunning luxury super saloon<\/strong>\u00a0that will revive the Lagonda ethos<\/strong> of \u201cthe finest of fast cars\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u00a0A luxury super saloon<\/h2>\n

Based on the brand\u2019s existing flexible VH architecture, the new Lagonda Sedan<\/strong>\u00a0draws inspiration from the highly sought-after William Towns-designed Lagonda<\/strong> of 1976 and features many of the same cutting edge engineering techniques seen in modern Aston Martin<\/strong> sports cars<\/strong> such as the use of carbon fibre in the body panels.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Lagonda Sedan<\/strong>\u00a0will be hand-built by the finest craftsmen and women at Aston Martin<\/strong>\u2019s modern manufacturing facilities in Gaydon, Warwickshire in a dedicated building previously given over to the creation of the One-77 hypercar.<\/p>\n

\u2028Aston Martin<\/strong> Design Director Marek Reichman said: \u201cThe debut of this luxury super saloon<\/strong> in the Middle East market will be an exciting moment not only for Aston Martin<\/strong>, but for discerning customers who are seeking the ultimate in luxury and personalisation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new model, like its exclusive siblings the One-77 and V12 Zagato, has been created as a piece of exceptional automotive art. It has been designed and developed entirely in keeping with the spirit and ethos of previous Lagonda super saloons<\/strong> \u2013 notably the William Towns Lagonda<\/strong> \u2013 and as a tribute to this car it proudly bears the Lagonda<\/strong> nameplate.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Lagonda Sedan: still a mystery<\/h2>\n

Aston Martin<\/strong> remains confidential\u00a0about the Lagonda<\/strong>\u2019s technical details but\u00a0the 6.0-liter V12 engine powering the V12 Vantage S Roadster\u00a0would be a likely choice for the Lagonda Sedan<\/strong>, unless Aston Martin<\/strong> decided to\u00a0offer exceedingly high levels of performance\u00a0with\u00a0the supercharged\u00a07.3-liter V12 powering\u00a0the One-77.<\/p>\n

The Lagonda Sedan<\/strong>\u00a0will be offered for sale by invitation only and, while precise pricing details remain confidential, the asking price will be commensurate with the car\u2019s exclusivity, quality and luxurious nature.<\/p>\n
