Rolex<\/strong> introduced a new black and 18 ct Everose gold version of its nautical Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master<\/strong>, fitted exclusively with the innovative Oysterflex bracelet developed and patented by Rolex<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Supple and robust<\/h2>\n

This new Yacht-Master<\/strong> is offered in two sizes: 40 mm and a new 37 mm diameter.<\/p>\n

Its Oyster case in 18 ct Everose gold includes a rotatable bezel fitted with a new Cerachrom insert in black ceramic with polished raised numerals on a matt background. This finish underscores the similar contrast between the polished 18 ct Everose gold watch case and the matt black of the Oysterflex bracelet, dial and Cerachrom insert.<\/p>\n

The Yacht-Master<\/strong>\u2019s new Oysterflex bracelet, developed and patented by Rolex<\/strong>, offers a sporty alternative to metal bracelets without compromising robustness, waterproofness or reliability.<\/p>\n

Aesthetically and in suppleness and comfort, it resembles a rubber strap, while its resistance is comparable to that of a metal bracelet. The bracelet attaches to the watch case and the Oysterlock safety clasp by a flexible titanium and nickel alloy metal blade.<\/p>\n

The blade is overmoulded with high-performance black elastomer which is particularly resistant to environmental effects, very durable and perfectly inert for the wearer of the watch.<\/p>\n

For enhanced comfort, the inside of the Oysterflex bracelet is equipped with a patented longitudinal cushion system that stabilizes the watch on the wrist. The bracelet is fitted with an 18 ct Everose gold Oysterlock safety clasp that prevents accidental opening.<\/p>\n

The Oyster case, symbol of waterproofness<\/h2>\n

The Yacht-Master<\/strong>\u2019s Oyster case, guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 metres (330 feet), is a paragon of robustness, proportion and elegance.<\/p>\n

The middle case is crafted from a solid block of 18 ct Everose gold, cast by Rolex<\/strong> in its own foundry. Its fluted case back and the winding crown \u2013 fitted with the Triplock triple waterproofness system \u2013 screw down securely against the case.<\/p>\n

The crown guard forms an integral part of the middle case. The crystal, with a Cyclops lens at 3 o\u2019clock for easy reading of the date, is made of virtually scratchproof sapphire.<\/p>\n

The waterproof Oyster case provides optimal protection for the high-precision movement.<\/p>\n

Last but not least, the new 40 mm Yacht-Master<\/strong> is equipped with calibre 3135 and the 37 mm version with calibre 2236, two self-winding mechanical movements entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Like all Rolex<\/strong> Perpetual movements, 3135 and 2236 are certified Swiss chronometers, a designation reserved for high-precision watches that have passed the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) tests.<\/p>\n
