The Porsche 911<\/strong> has long been a myth<\/strong> in the automobile world<\/strong> but it was first introduced under the name of 901<\/strong> at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show<\/strong>. Since then, it has become the most emblematic model<\/strong> of the brand<\/strong> and a true collector\u2019s piece.<\/p>\n

In the space of half a century<\/strong>, it was improved in numerous ways according to times and technological advances<\/strong> of the automobile world<\/strong> and has thus remained the gold standard<\/strong> for luxury sports cars<\/strong>. The seven major evolutions<\/strong> of the car have all proved being great successes for Porsche<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To celebrate five decades of success<\/strong>, Porsche<\/strong> decided to propose a special anniversary edition<\/strong> of the 911 named \u201c50th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary\u201d<\/strong>. In reference to its first public appearance, only 1,963 specimens of the Porsche 911 50th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary Edition<\/strong> will be built. It is based on the Carreras version<\/strong>. The interior is deliberately retro<\/strong> and it will be made available in three sober paint schemes.<\/p>\n

The Porsche 911<\/strong> outstanding driving performances<\/strong> are obviously the same with a 400 horsepower engine able to reach 100kmph in 4.5 second and 300kmph overall.<\/p>\n
