The Ingenieur collection, the power around the wrist<\/h2>\n

In 2013, IWC<\/strong> new strategy is based on the Ingenieur online renovation. The important support of the Mercedes AMG Petronas team was important because, it will allow the engineers from both brands to share their passions for precision technology and innovation. They are heroes behind the scenes as they contribute greatly to the success of the engineer watches.<\/p>\n

For the new collection, the IWC<\/strong> engineers design was inspired by the Formula 1. The materials used for the new IWC watches are those typically found in Motorsports, such as carbon fiber, ceramic or titanium. Automatic Carbon Performance Ingenieur , an exclusive watch<\/h2>\n

Featuring an automatic movement with power reserve of 44 hours, the Ingenieur Automatic Carbon Performance<\/strong> is a high-tech marvel from the gear box to the dial with luminous hands and the fixed bezel all of them are made with carbon fiber.<\/p>\n

The central portion of the gear box is held together by five bolts , similar to the attachment of a monohull racecar. The dial falls substantially in the spirit of Formula 1, with an authentic look and a contoured three-dimensional surface. The black rubber strap and calfskin leather is sewn with yarn yellow or red nylon, which strongly recalls the stripes on the soft tires for the Mercedes-Benz.<\/p>\n

Besides carbon, other raw materials of the finest quality make this exceptional watch such as the scratch-resistant glass entirely made with sapphire, the screw-down crown and its protection are covered with titanium, and the screw heads are ceramic.<\/p>\n
