Indeed,<strong>\u00a0Espresso Veloce<\/strong>\u00a0has created an engineering masterpiece in a combination of art\u00a0and function. <strong>Espresso Veloce<\/strong>\u2018s bespoke artworks are hand-built in limited\u00a0numbers precision machined from solid billets in a state-of-the-art facility. Using\u00a0solid billet aluminium alloy, titanium alloy and super alloys as used in high specification\u00a0Grand Prix engines, <strong>Espresso Veloce<\/strong>\u2019s creations are half-scale\u00a0versions of the motors that powered Grand Prix cars over the last three illustrious\u00a0decades of motorsport.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"espresso-veloce-built-to-perfection\">Espresso Veloce :\u00a0Built to perfection<\/h2>\n<p>The half-scale form of a jewel-like Grand Prix-inspired motor begins its cycle of realisation through the precise manufacture of over 90 machined components in a high-tech tool room facility using solid billets of high-grade aerospace alloys similar to those used in modern day Grand Prix powerplants.<\/p>\n<p>Every component is then inspected to ensure it conforms to tolerances within a tenth of a millimeter.\u00a0 The cam covers and other prominent components then undergo a chemical anodising process to release colour into the alloy. Parts like the engine\u2019s intake venturis are hand-polished with wheel and compound to create a high lustre finish. Moreover the exhaust pipes \u2013 an eye catching part of these masterpieces \u2013 are fashioned from aviation grade titanium alloy and then hand crafted using tungsten and argon welding techniques.<\/p>\n<p>After assembly the exhausts are immersed in a zirconium ball-polishing machine where they tumble for at least 18 hours so giving them the perfect mirror-like finish. The next process is to heat the tips of the exhaust pipes to create the blue lustre like that seen on an original competition motor that has run a few race laps.<\/p>\n<p>All components then enter the intricate assembly process where each<strong> Espresso Veloce<\/strong> is hand-assembled by expert technicians using over 260 stainless steel fasteners to form the complex architecture of this 1:2 scale Grand Prix motor.\u00a0 Once the engine casing is assembled an internal tank is placed into position and coupled to a high pressure, vibrating pump.\u00a0 This pump feeds an inline heat exchanger passing the boiling water through an array of pipes into the capsule-type group head.\u00a0 Volumetric control by a programmable electronic brain then delivers the perfect espresso at an optimal 22 bar pressure.\u00a0Finally the individually numbered Arte Meccanica plaque is affixed to the masterpiece and its creator, Paolo Mastrogiuseppe, signs the unit\u2019s Certificate of Authenticity before it is crated for delivery to its lucky owner.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"espresso-veloce-bespoke\">Espresso Veloce Bespoke<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Espresso Veloce<\/strong> atelier offers custom colour combinations for each machine enabling the\u00a0creation of unique and timeless artworks. There are six colour options to choose from that can be applied to virtually any part of the machine through an anodising process.
