The Argentario Resort Golf & Spa : a paradise in Tuscany
Experience luxury and design in an original and unique way at the Argentario Resort Golf & Spa, a member of Design Hotels™, located in a verdant valley in Tuscany‘s Monte Argentario Peninsula. The Argentario Resort Golf & Spa is a 5-star resort with design rooms, 18-hole golf course, wellness center and gourmet restaurant specializing in Tuscan cuisine.
An eco-conscious resort
Located in the Maremma, a striking land that stretches between the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea and Tuscany’s rolling hills, the Argentario Resort lies in a protected Mediterranean oasis and offers a strategic location for those wishing to visit local attractions as well as art cities like Rome (140 km), Siena (120 km), Florence (180 km) and Pisa (200 km).
Instead of a traditionally rustic Tuscan resort adorned in the typical terra-cotta and wrought iron, the Argentario resort Golf & Spa is a masterpiece of contemporary design that offers you an alternative vision : aesthetically, architecturally and also ecologically.
The Dama Dama Restaurant is a contemporary vision of an elegant mountain retreat. Its “zero km” cuisine uses fresh produce from its own organic vegetable garden and from the farms of the Maremma Tuscany. The Espace Wellness Center, which uses organic products, seems suspended between retro and modern, where large windows overlook the green landscape, and the chromo-therapy lights and the pool water reflection create a relaxing atmosphere for the guests’ physical and mental wellbeing. Finally, even the 18-hole golf course is BioAgriCert accredited for its minimal environmental impact.
In any common or private space within the Argentario Resort Golf & Spa, you will able to appreciate the contemporary and innovative project that has brought something new and alternative in the rustic Maremma Tuscany, both from an architectonic and an ecological point of view.
At the Argentario Resort, the main symbol of identity is the majestic entrance hall, where the intense colors of the sky and of the Mediterranean vegetation stand out through enormous glass windows and contrast with the tabarca-stone pavements, the arched counters and the opaque black structural elements. The dragonfly-shaped property features a limestone façade, while in the inside, interior designer Andrea Fogli has created a contemporary style with retro and extravagant touches.
The Argentario Resort features 73 rooms, including 7 suites. The rooms express their individual personality through a sophisticated and comfortable design, ranging from the minimalist look in a contemporary art-gallery style to the most glamorous and metropolitan spirit with chrome plating and stone tubs.
The 55 junior suites and 11 superior rooms all boast stunning terraces overlooking the beautiful eco-conscious golf course. Apart from the 73 rooms in the resort, the property also includes the Locker Cottage that innovates the idea of Tuscan country house with an eclectic touch. Surrounded by the olive-tree garden, the villa is located on a hill, just 200 metres away from the main building of the resort.
A unique venue for Golf Lovers
Just steps away from the beautiful sandy beaches of Feniglia and Giannella, enjoy a stunning 18-hole golf course. The Argentario Golf Club, which hosts various of the most important golf tournaments in Tuscany and Italy, features 18 panoramic holes for a total of 6,218 metres and par 71. The course has been awarded the “Agri Cert” certification for its bio eco-compatibility, and all products used for its maintenance are completely natural.
Located in a protected natural area, only 5 minutes from the Duna Feniglia Nature Reserve, the golf course features 24 practice tees, 12 of which are covered. They cover a distance of about 300 metres and are located next to the buvette refreshment point and hole 1. It’s the perfect place to prepare for 18 holes of golf.
The main putting green area, the chipping area and the practice bunker are just a few metres away from the Buvette. You can also test your putting skills on a second practice green, which is located behind the driving range and next to hole 1. Last but not least, one of Italy’s best Pros, Emanuele Canonica – winner of the 2005 Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, will put his experience at the disposal of those who wish to improve their game. Moreover, the latest teaching technologies will be used, including audiovisual equipment to analyze the movements, specific machines for improving the swing quickly, plus all training sessions will be recorded and monitored to evaluate the evolution of your game.
In short, the Argentario Resort Golf & Spa offers you the opportunity to improve your game while admiring the surrounding panorama.
