The Spirit of Continual Innovation Marks Aston Martin Centenary

Aston Martin, the famous luxury car manufacturer has its centenary celebration this year. Like most manufacturers celebrating an important milestone in their history, the best way to mark the occasion is to put the company’s star designers to work and build an exceptional model.

That’s how the Aston Martin CC100 Speedster concept car was born. This incredibly sleek sports car was directly inspired by the iconic DBR1, built in 1959 for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Designed in carbon fiber, this triumph of esthetics is powered by a 6 liter, V12 engine that takes it from 0 to 62 mph in four seconds and is capable of reaching speeds up to 180 mph. Aston Martin has also proven that its design team masters speed at the drawing board too, because they designed this car in just six months.

This exceptional Aston Martin is a subtle and daring blend of classic lines and futuristic construction techniques. Aston Martin revealed the sports car to onlookers on the legendary Nordschleife at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
