Audermars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin: a minimalist and unique watch

Audemars Piguet, the famous watchmaker brand just added a new wonder to its portfolio: The Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin. Somewhat similar to the previous model launched in 2012, the 2016 one appears to be more original because it is not made with gold anymore, but this time, with platinum.

Royal Oak Extra-Thin Platinum, the new prestigious version

Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin will please vintage and modern watch lovers alike. With the new version, everything reminds us the previous Royal Oak Tourbillon, with the exception of the case and dial color, which is now a smoked grey.

Unlike its older sister, the new Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin is water resistant to 50 meters while the gold version of the same watch was only resistant to 20 meters. None of the Royal Oak watches were truly thick, but this 41mm version is much more extraordinary because it is made with platinum.

Available in two version, with or without diamonds, there again the Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin is full of ingenuity and mastery: where the screws are maintained, the 32 baguette-cut diamonds are carefully placed between them, without interfering with the masculinity of the watch. And the watch has still 3.04 carats of stone total!

Inside the Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin we can find the in-house made Audemars Piguet calibre 2924 manually-wound movement and the power reserve indicator placed on the rear of the movement. Even if the movement is hand-winding, Finally, the watch offers 70 hours of power reserve!

This model appears to be very attractive for those who appreciate sophistication or minimalist and discrete watches. With the Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin, Audemars Piguet offers a new model visually attractive with a perfect design. But be quick, because the watch is a limited edition timepiece built in extremely limited numbers! It will soon be available and priced at $281.500.
