Orient Express Silenseas : the word’s biggest sailboat
It’s been 140 years since the legendary Orient-Express created its first luxury trains, iconic passenger-trains connecting cities across Europe.
Today, the legend is launching into a new market and is heading out to sea. Partnering with Accor, Orient Express plans to produce the world’s largest sailing ship with the aim of offering the excellence of luxury travel on the open sea.
Expected to set sail in 2026, it will offer a high-end service, a refined design and will feature whole new technologies on board. It is planned to offer 54 suites, two swimming pools and an amphitheater. This 220-meter long colossus will be totally powered by natural gas.
The yacht will be inspired by the golden age of the French Riviera and the emphasis will be put on refinement and elegance.
