The Venom GT is based on Lotus Elise which holds one of the biggest car engines around, grafted on one of the lightest chassis. This latter is composed of 8 cylinders and 16 Bi-Turbo valves.

In January 2013, observers were impressed by the Venom GT‘s capacity to break an acceleration record from0 to 300 km/h in 13,6 seconds.
Therefore, with a top speed of 462.6 km/h, the Hennessey Venom GT is the world’s fastest production car, being ahead of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and the Koenigsegg Agera R.
